Dance Training Program Toronto

Are you thinking about pursuing your career as a professional dancer, or looking for an intensive dance program? Join us! Our Certificate Program (MDCCP) will allow you to learn from industry choreographers, and receive mentorship from our Program Advisor.

Our MDCCP is a comprehensive training course open to Canadian and foreign students at our internationally acclaimed facility.

Join us for the experience of a lifetime as you train side by side with fellow dancers from across the globe. You will be receiving an official documentation certificate of completion, an integral part of a dancer’s training that will benefit you wherever your dance path may lead you.

About The Certificate Training Program

- The program is opened to intermediate and advanced level students.
- No audition is required.
- Our Certificate Program Advisor will guide you through the process from start to finish; choosing classes, monitoring your progress and adjusting classes as your level grows.
- 10 classes per week minimum required.
- Students receive UNLIMITED additional classes of their choosing. Hip Hop, Contemporary, Jazz Funk, Tap, Theatre Jazz, Dancehall, Heels, and more.
- Develop relationships with Millennium faculty through personal evaluations of class progress.
- Students will receive monthly private sessions with the faculty of their choice.
- Free rehearsal space can be available in between classes.

Schedule:

Week One:

You will have a meeting with Amy, our Program Advisor. Together, you will create your first week’s class plan based on analyzing your dance experience, desires and goals . This is also the time to ask any questions you might have.

Week Two:

You will reevaluate your schedule with Amy, and review the past week. Some classes may be removed and replaced by others, making the adjustments based on real life experience during Week One.

Week Three:

During this week’s meeting we will finalize your dance plan and lock in your 3 core teachers. Core teachers will stay locked in for most of your program, depending on the length of time you are dancing with us. Private sessions will be scheduled with these teachers.

Week Four:

Enjoy your dance plan and your private session with core teachers! Non-core classes may be changed at this time.

Weeks Following:

Continue to come each week to meet with Amy and discuss your progress, curriculum and challenges. For those of you in longer programs, we will schedule new evaluation/lessons every two months.

Millennium Dance Complex was founded in 1992 and has since become a well-respected dance community worldwide.

Toronto dancers are recognized throughout North America for their technical proficiency and attention to detail. The Toronto location offers classes taught by knowledgeable teachers, currently active in the industry.

Our Certificate Program is designed to immerse the dancer in an intensive training, side by side with professional working dancers. Our highly skilled staff is focused upon you accomplishing your dance goals and supporting you on your dance journey. Millennium has a down to earth approach to learning and a very strong sense of community.

Is previous dance training necessary?

Dancers with stronger training backgrounds will find many opportunities to rapidly achieve new skill and artistic levels. However, all levels are welcome, understanding that having the basics already in place will expedite your development process. We do recommend that students have at least intermediate levels achieved before beginning the program.

Can I work while in the MDCCP?

Yes, domestic students may accept part-time/full-time employment during the day, as long as it does not impact your ability to train and complete your schedule. Classes usually start at 5:00 pm.

Do you help with student visas?

Millennium is not an educational institution. We do not have the ability to issue Visa letters. We will provide you with a letter of your acceptance into our program containing information about our program for your personal use to your local embassy.

How do I find housing?

We are happy to refer you our list of local hotels and homestay. Our recommendations are under the housing section.

Please complete the application form below. MDC will review and process your application and notify you of your acceptance. Half tuition is then due and you will receive your official acceptance letter with start date. The balance of tuition is due before start of classes.
